VP, Business Operations & Strategy

Business Operations
Remote (US)Full-time

The Company

Stakeholders VR is building the best vacation rental company in the world. We launched May 1, 2026 by acquiring 18 property management brands across five regions, resulting in roughly 4,700 homes under management and about one million guest stays a year. We support the entrepreneurial operators and communities that manage some of the most valuable assets their owners will ever hold.

Our model combines local expertise with the scale and efficiency of a national operation. Local brands keep their identity. Founders stay as equity partners. Our Mission Control team builds the technology, tools, and shared infrastructure that independent operators cannot build alone. A shared AI service layer will improve revenue, marketing, finance, and operations across the full portfolio, all in service of world-class hospitality for our guests.

The executive team includes veterans from ResortQuest, Compass, Bridgewater, Overmoon, Wheelhouse, Inhabitat, Grand Welcome, and Lerer Hippeau.

If you want to build a defining brand in travel and hospitality, back the entrepreneurs who make it run, and use AI to power the whole thing, come build with us.

The Role

We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and execution-driven VP, Business Operations & Strategy to lead SHVR’s most complex integration and transformation initiatives across markets, brands, and functions.

This role sits within SHVR’s Business Operations organization and operates as a senior execution leader responsible for turning enterprise priorities into structured, executable programs and leading towards measurable results. The VP will lead high-impact bodies of work across M&A integration, operating model design, revenue and cost optimization, value creation, and cross-functional transformation.

This is not a traditional project or program management role, but rather a high-ownership leadership role requiring structured problem solving, executive communication, and disciplined execution in a fast-scaling, acquisition-driven platform.

The VP partners directly with the SVP, Business Operations & Strategy, the COO, the CFO, Market General Managers, and other functional leaders to ensure that strategic initiatives are clearly defined, properly sequenced, and delivered with measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Transformation Leadership

  • Partner with the SVP and COO to define and lead enterprise transformation initiatives, setting clear goals and structuring the overall approach from problem through execution
  • Lead high-stakes integration and transformation efforts from problem definition through execution and transition to operational ownership
  • Structure ambiguous, multi-variable challenges into clear hypotheses, decision frameworks, and execution roadmaps
  • Align initiative design to enterprise value creation priorities including revenue optimization, cost efficiency, and operating model improvements

Integration & Program Execution

  • Lead initiatives across the full transformation lifecycle:
    • Ideation and opportunity assessment
    • Strategy development and hypothesis formation
    • Program design and mobilization
    • Execution and delivery
  • Transition into “run” ownership

Analysis, Insight Development, and Innovation

  • Conduct structured quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform strategic decisions
  • Build financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases tied to EBITDA impact
  • Evaluate performance trends across markets, brands, and functions
  • Synthesize complex analysis into clear, executive-ready recommendations
  • Develop, investigate, and deploy novel solutions and operating models

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner directly with Market GMs, Directors of Operations, Brand GMs, Revenue leadership, Technology, and Finance
  • Lead interviews, working sessions, and structured problem-solving discussions
  • Build credibility quickly with acquired Property Management Company leaders and functional leaders
  • Drive alignment across diverse stakeholders with competing priorities

Execution Discipline and Rigor

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of integration playbooks and transformation frameworks
  • Establish repeatable standards for initiative design, tracking, and governance
  • Improve the consistency and predictability of delivery across the portfolio
  • Support the evolution of SHVR’s enterprise execution cadence

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a traditional project management position
  • Not a functional operating role responsible for day-to-day KPIs
  • Not a staff-augmentation support function
  • Not an advisory-only strategy role detached from execution and results delivery

This role owns outcomes through disciplined execution and stakeholder influence.
